Woman accused of drunk driving after California crash

Drivers often struggle to respond to the actions of others. If another driver attempts a left turn into the path of another, for example, it may be difficult for oncoming vehicles to respond in time to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, a woman in California has recently been charged with drunk driving following a crash involving a driver attempting a left turn.

The incident that led to the woman's arrest happened just after 4 a.m. on a day in late October. According to reports, a 72-year-old man was attempting a left turn at what is described as a major intersection. Unfortunately, another driver entered the intersection, striking the man's vehicle.

Police say that both vehicles sustained major damage. Additionally, the 72-year-old driver was transported to the hospital. Police claims that the 23-year-old female driving the second vehicle was taken into custody after being transported to the hospital, suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing injury.

Despite the allegations made against the young California driver, there are multiple issues regarding the incident that are unclear, including who had the right of way in the incident and what the woman's blood alcohol content at the time. Unfortunately, many people who are facing criminal charges, including those revolving drunk driving, have little legal experience and may be unsure of their options. To help guide them through the process, many people suspected of a crime choose to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to advise them and guide them throughout the process.  Often having such a professional on their side can decrease some of the stress associated with the criminal justice system.
